Q: How do I get through child custody - I have bi-polar

I have been diagnosed with bi-polar and ADD in Dec '06.  I have been on prescribed medication since being diagnosed.  I will being going through the court system for sole custody of our 2 children who are 5 and 7, My husband tells me ther is no way I will not be granted custody because of my illness.  He says he will get custody.  My husband has a history throughout our marriage of being verbally abusive, mentally, and physically.  He is very controlling and is using marijuana on a day to day basis.  I am called horrible  names and belittled in front of our children and his 2 older children who are 18 and 12 on adaily basis.  I have been to the courts several times but never followed through with finalizing this and wish I had. I have had serveral orders of protection from this man for his threats and intimidation.  What are my chances of getting full custody ?  My husband was abusive the same way with his ex-wife whch is documented in the courts for the same situation.
