If your son has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder at such an early age, be skeptical about the diagnosis and treatment based on a diagnosis that is not absolutley clear. If you have not received a second opinion or are not certain, you may want to do so. Medical treatment is based on diagnosis. You want to be sure he is being treated properly and not receiving medication he does not need.
There are many counselors that treat children and can help you with your son.
