The first 2 answers are on to something but I think I might know why. You see my husband cant stand it when I dont sleep with him at night. The reason for me not sleeping with him is because sometime I wake up angry and the first person I see is the first person I go after so to speak. Another reason is because I cant sleep at night and I dont want to keep him awake.... so for your boyfriend it could be that he doesnt want to be angry at you first thing in the morning and he doesnt want you angry first thing in the morning and the other he doesnt want to wake you.... I hope that helps you a lttle bit. Alexis313

Hello 'onlyme'. As a person whose life has been severely disrupted by Bipolar I disorder for decades, the answer which immediately comes to my mind is that your boyfriend probably suffers from sleep disturbance. Apart from not wanting to disturb you in turn, he also doesn't want to feel pressured to try to keep still when he wants to constantly turn over; shift the blankets; turn on the light and sit up and read; look up some obscure reference; or maybe write something down - an idea, a poem, song lyrics, or even his feelings as part of a personal journal - or even get up in the middle of the night for a snack or whatever. Respect his wishes and try not to take it personally. Knowing me, he's probably doing you a favor.  Frances

I know at know at night I can't sleep so I have to be on sleeping meds, but in my opinion he might be paranoid and he thinks that something with you in the room. I know that I have problems sleeping in the same room as some of my friends. For me it all depends on how long I've known them. So maybe you just have to be pacient.
