Q: How can you tell you're about to have a manic episode? And how do you lighten the blow?
I recently had a manic episode where I made a lot of really dumb decisions, I crashed and I'm feeling quite tired and down.
Im able to recognize when my mood is dropping and what I need to do then I.e. eating at the right times, sleeping, socializing and exercising etc and I know when things get to a point when I need to see a doctor but I cannot recognize the signs of becoming manic and the repercussions and guilt are almost too much to bare afterwards.
If I knew the warning signs of an impending mania perhaps I could learn some ways to tone things down and lighten the blow and make it easier.
