FDA panel OKs Seroquel for schizophrenia, BPD in teens

An expert panel that advises the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has found the powerful antipsychotic drug Seroquel safe and effective for children and teens with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (BPD). Members of the panel voted overwhelmingly that the medication is a useful treatment for schizophrenia and BPD in patients ages 10 to 17.
