According to new research, bipolar teens who are experiencing manic phases are more sexually active, have more sexual partners, and are more likely to have a sexually transmitted disease. The study also showed that teens who have such externalizing disorders as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, conduct disorders, or defiant behaviors are more likely to be sexually active than their peers.
