Bipolar Medicine

Researchers at Indiana University School of Medicine have
identified biomarkers in the blood that are associated with mood
disorders such a bipolar disorder. Scientists analyzed the blood of
96 patients and found that certain biomarkers varied in the blood
depending on people's low mood states, high mood states, depression
levels, or individual experiences. Experts say this discovery could
change the way bipolar disorder and other mood disorders are
diagnosed and treated.
