Study: Blood test could spot depression

Scientists have identified a biochemical indicator in the blood that they say may show if a person is suffering from depression. The discovery could lead to a quick blood test to determine whether a particular antidepressant medication is working to control depression, or if another drug might be needed. Researchers say the biomarker might also be used to tell if psychotherapy is making headway against the disease. Read more »
