Seroquel Weight Gain

An unpublished study linking the drug Seroquel to weight gain and diabetes is raising questions about how much control drug companies have over the publicly available research on their medications. The study, called "Study 15," compared Seroquel to the older drug Haldol. It found that patients taking Seroquel gained an average of 11 pounds per year, that the drug was not more effective than Haldol in preventing psychotic relapses, and that 82 percent of its users dropped out of the study before ...
