Symptoms And Diagnosis Of Bipolar Disorder

For the fifth annual Bipolar Awareness Day, The National Alliance
on Mental Illness (NAMI) is emphasizing the need for accurate
diagnosis and treatment for the condition. According to NAMI, seven
out of ten bipolar patients receive at least one incorrect
diagnosis, with young adults at particular risk for misdiagnosis.
NAMI experts discuss the symptoms of bipolar disorder, reasons for
its misdiagnosis, and treatment options for people with the
condition.
