Drugmaker Wins First Seroquel Lawsuit

Drugmaker AstraZeneca has won the first lawsuit brought by a patient who says he was harmed by taking the antipsychotic medication Seroquel. The case was brought by 61-year-old Vietnam veteran Ted Baker, who took the drug from 2001 to 2006. Baker sued AstraZeneca because he believes he developed diabetes because of his use of Seroquel. Nine other cases involving damages over Seroquel use have been dismissed before the start of the trials.  Read full story >
