From Washington Post 6-19: A study of 1,490 women who had been treated for early stage breast cancer looked at how diet and exercise affected quality of life and how long she lives. The study is from the June 10 issue of the Journal of Clinical Oncology (http://jco.ascopubs.org/)

The study found that women who exercised moderately for at least 30 minutes a day and ate a healthy diet of at least five servings a day of fruits and vegetables had a mortality rate that was half (7 percent vs. 14 percent) of the other women, even if they were overweight.
