I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 at the age of 34 shortly after the birth of my second daughter. I had a history of fibroid tumors so of course the doctors "were not worried." Through self exam I discovered the lump was growing even though I had received a mammogram that found nothing. Luckily I had no lymph node involvement and no metastesis and today remain cancer free! You are right, doctors do not look hard enough for breast cancer in younger women, especially pregnant ones. More awareness is definitely needed about this subject! Thanks for the article!
