I was 26 last year when I was dx with IDC. I went through a Double Mastectomy last May and then started my 16 rounds of Chemo. I had 4 A/C and then 12 weekly Taxol. Overall my body took them very well. I finished in November and my hair started really taking off after that was over. I cant wait. I have a pixie look right now which I cant stand but my hair is almost to the point I can get extensions. From over 10 inches of hair to nothing is a dramatic thing to go through. I think worst then loosing your breasts. To me at least. I am now 27 about to turn 28 in a few months and I am 2 days post Reconstructive surgery. However after the expanders were exchanged out I was hoping for big full breast. I snuck a peek underneath the bandages and there nothing like what I thought they were going to look like and Im quite disappointed. You go a full year with out breast and the anticipation of getting them back to then having to really stare at your chest to wonder where they are is a bit of a let down. I havent talked to my dr about them yet but I would love to see what he says about the whole situation. Has anyone else felt this way after there reconstruction?

Hi, i'm in the process to fill my expanders. 3 fills so far.
Did you talk to your DR about the size of the breast you wanted?
My DR told me that once we reach the size i want, we go a little bigger, so he has room to work on and i get the size i want.
I also read that at the beginnig they look bigger that they will be at the end. Over a period of 6 months they settle and take their final size/position.
Like i said at the beginning, i'm still filling the expanders, and hope just like you to have a nice pair of C cup size bubs.
