Radiation - done

Hugs and more,

Radiation was finished on Friday, the 30th. Im on Tamoxifen. About the rads, went well all in all, with slight fatigue. No burns, just a major tan on one side. I used Aloe Vera gel and that seemed to work. The only thing I have at the moment is joint pain. Does anyone have this after Taxol or chemo?

No more zaps and bzzz..bzzz..for the time being, so I guess not going to the hospital everyday will take a little...

Taxol Round 8 of 8 finished. Im Done...

Hi all, After 2 weeks of up and down counts (very frustrating to be poked with needles these days) as you know in one arm only....more white blood cell miracle booster shots ant my wbc count was a whopping 34...even the doc was laughing. She thought I should frame the last results... Anyway, I hope Taxol was worth the effort...and now onwards to radiation...Im feeling a bit uneasy about that, so if anyone has any comments on...

Taxol Round 6 Behind me

Hi and hugs, Been away from writing-apologies..Counts have been up and down at weekly Taxol infusions. So Sometimes Neopogen (Filigristim) helps to boost my immune sysyem which has my bone marrow getting tired, After 2 more rounds, then radiation...36X then tamoxifen. I hope what I am doing is working...then it will be worth it Kids are fine. They invented a hair growing machine with legos and proudly showed me their creation...

chemo round 3

Hi all, Just finished chemo round 3 a and 3b for the CAF regimen-the old- fashioned type of chemo (not the dose dense) anyway, my counts were lower again, down to 2.2 for WBC and .3 for neutrophils, but the doc still gave me the chemo. I do feel more tired now and my throat feels a little irritated,(hard to swallow) so it seems another GCSF booster after I finish the cytoxan oral pills. Does anyone have these symptoms from time to...

Chemo Round 2 and low counts...aaargh!

Hi all, Hugs to everyone. Round 2 was done, and on to round three last week, but to my surprise my counts became low and they decided to delay for a week and give me GCSF (white blood cell booster shots in the tummy) Then for a few days, my bones hurt...especially my legs. And I had to stay home and wear masks..etc. My kids were wondering what happened, since really although tired, I didnt expect my blood counts to be that low. But they put...

Chemo round 2

Hi all, Update, the first round went fine, the second round part A CAF is making me tired...But Im hanging in there. My kids are used to my new spikee look, I had my head shaved and then it went patchy. Somedays, I just dont look in the mirroe, but my kids keep me going. They kiss me all the time. Who needs meds??? Sometimes, I wonder. But Ill keep chugging those C-pills and injections of A and 5FU...and water... I hope I can do...

Day 2-cytoxan

Did all my routine today, but drank a bunch of liquids-something Im not used to. No nausea thanks to a lot of ani-nausea meds. Kids followed me around took a lot of energy. A little heartburn during the day came and went. I think I might have gained weight already-or can I blame all the water etc Ive been drinking to flush out the effects of cytoxan-day 2?
