I was diagnosed with IDC in July 2006, hard to believe its been a year. I had a right mascetomy in August and a skin expander put in.  I finally started cemo the end of November (after having problems with the port) and ended cemo the end of February.  Needless to say the holidays were sort of a blur.  I was scheduled for 6 treatments, 1 every 3 weeks, but I stopped my treatments after 4.  I am still recovering from the affects of cemo 5 months later, my hair has returned, but the muscle and body aches still haunt me, but I do see improvement.  I had my breast reconstruction May 15th and it is amazing how much having "even" breasts can improve your confidence.  I want to be able to help others through this journey, I know I got so much help and support but at times I still felt so lonely because no one I knew had IDC.  And lets face it cemo is a lonely thing to go through. So anyway I can help let me know. Hugs to all!

Thank you for your SharePost. Support and encouragement are KEY in battling breast cancer, and your offer to help others through this site is very kind and much appreciated. You'll receive the same in return. We look forward to hearing from you. Best, M
