Hello All:

I had my breast reconstruction in July and will get the nipple put on 20 Oct. Do not know what to expect with the nipple part. Any advice?

When I had nipple reconstruction, it was minor surgery using a local anesthetic and some Valium. Not uncomfortable at all, and a quick recovery. It's not perfect-looking, but good enough for me! Best of luck, Mary- PJH

Thank you. I will let you know how it all goes. I found out today that I will be leaving my current job, the ship in a couple of weeks. My Doctor and boss feels that my after affect of treatment is worse than the chemo itself, but no one knew what to expect from the chemo treatment and how my body would take it. I did great with chemo compared to what I am feeling now.

I am looking for the same answer about the reconstruction of the nibble. First I have to get the other breast lifted and hope that don't hurt cause I have too much pain in my hands and feet to deal with.

I wish you well msmary and to all the ladies out there going through this ordeal.
