It's been a while since I posted something but I was looking to see what is going on with different blog and see if I could answer any questions. I have one. Water retention. It seems like on Monday my weight is down and then on Wednesday I have gained like 1-2 lbs. I am on the tamoxfin, how can I control the water gain.

Ms. Mary, nice to see you here again. Here's information from Dr. Patricia Ganz about water retention from our sister site, breastcancer.org:
"Water retention is not a known side effect of tamoxifen, but sometimes when women are perimenopausal, in the years just preceding menopause, they may have fluctuations in their salt and water retention which may be related to their ovarian function. Sometimes it may be helpful to use a mild diuretic to help if you are uncomfortable. You should discuss this with your doctor."
