Hello All,
Haven't written in a while but I wanted to let you all know that I have done 5 of 6 treatments last week and this one hit me harder than the 3rd one. The fourth one went a lot better than this one. I am having trouble with my throat, sore, and not having an appetite or wanting to drink anything. I also found out with the last treatment that my magnesium was low so I had to do a two hour drip before I had my treatment and now I am on pills twice a day. Any advice on how to handle this. I will be so glad when this is over with, I feel like giving up today but I know, this too will past, like the last one did. I just want to thank you all again for your continue support and advice.
Mary

If you don't feel like eating that's OK (for a day or two), but you need to make yourself continue with the fluids. They're important. Someone suggested adding just a little bit of fruit juice to make water more palatable and that worked for me. I liked about a quarter cup of grape juice to a cup of water best.
You're almost through with chemo, so hang in there. It's good that even though you are feeling miserable now, you have the perspective to remember that you'll feel better in a few days. That's just the way chemo is. You have shown remarkable strength over the course of your treatment. You'll get through this last phase.
Thank you.. Had my herceptin today and some extra fluids put back in me and it really help make me feel better.
