I got through it went in surgery about 1:00pm on 4-23 and out a little after 4pm. The good news is my nodes came back negative. Dr. was surprised with having 3 lumps in all. So i'm thankful about that. They only kept me 24hrs. I been doing ok, not to sore, very sleepy.

Hi Tiffany, I am so very glad to hear that you made it through your surgery and that the nodes were negative. WHOA! WHOA! That is wonderful news. If you don't mind me asking, did you have reconstruction? Or is that a decision for another time. I meet with the plastic surgeon on Wed to discuss this myself.

Tiffany, thanks for sharing your story. There are so many of us that are younger and younger. Was your cancer Estrogen or Progesteron or HER2?

I had yearly mamograms and my HER2 cancer came out of no where.

Hi, yes it was great to hear the nodes were neg. They did remove 4 of them thow for further testing so I hope those still show negative. No the Dr. didn't talk much like it was an option until we new if my cancer spread to my nodes. I also didnt have insurence at the time of surgery. I really wish I could of got reconstruction right then in there thow instead of eventually going back for more surgery. I've been the most interested in the Tram Flap, but I still need to talk with the surgeon before I know for sure. Have you thought of which type of reconstruction you want? I'm honestly not sure if its estrogen or progesterone, thats something I didnt ask and he didn't tell me , I don't think everything went so fast. I go back and see him next week.
