Thursday, April 02, 2009 at 05:51 PMMy heart goes out to you Tiffany. I'm with PJ in hoping that it's not mets but I also want to know that many of us respond really well and live full and HEALTHY lives post mets. My bc spread to my liver. I had innumerable tumours - now there are none! I continue in treatment (I had chemo this week) but mostly life is really, really good. You can read more of my story on my blog (Not Just About Cancer) or contact me through this site if you want to talk more. xoxo

Adding my thoughts and prayers
Phyllis Johnson
Thursday, April 02, 2009 at 06:34 PMTiffany, I'm adding my thoughts and prayers. I know that you'll find the strength to get through this next stage of testing. I can't tell you how many times problems that my doctor suspected might be metastasis turned out to be something else. And as Laurie and PJ have said, more and more people whose cancer has spread live for years with a good quality of life. We understand how scary this all is.

I hope it turns out to be something other than metastasis; sometimes it does. But - there are so many good treatments for metastasized breast cancer these days. There are women living with mets for years... one of our regular shareposters, Laurie Kingston, is a mom with young children, living with metastatic breast cancer. Take deep breaths, Tiffany; try to stay positive till you know what you're dealing with. And stay in touch here - we'll hold you up if you need to go down this path again. PJH
