I haven't been on here in a while due to being diagnosed with mets to lungs, bones and spot on liver found in April. I've been posting on bcmets, thanks for the website Phyllis it has helped out. I just had my follow up petscan and shockingly, already my mets have all gone away. I couldn't believe it! Dr was even shocked because my lungs were pretty bad. But I've been really positive and praying every night. I really been fighting to be here for my kids. Still have to go through chemo, but it is so worth it now. Knowing that it is working.

Tiffany, I'm absolutely thrilled to hear that you have had such wonderful results from your treatment.  I'm also glad that www.bcmets.org has been a good resource for you.

Hi, Ms. T.: HOORAY! Great to hear your treatment is working. Laurie Kingston, who's posted on this site in the past, had mets and has been cancer-free for several years now. Like you, she has two young children. You and Laurie are proof: metastatic breast cancer can be beat back! Keep up the good work - and thanks for staying in touch. PJH

Wonderful news for you!  I hope your health continues to improve.  It's so hard for those of us who have had mets to wrap our brains around the fact that it doesn't mean that it is a death sentence.  I'm still learning that 13 years after my stage 4 diagnosis, and even though I've been diagnosed with a third occurance (hey, after 13 years, I think that's pretty good!),  I was amazed to see that the docs are very positive that they current drugs (not chemo) will work on these as well.

I've only had bone mets, but I certainly can sympathize.  Keep on doing what you're doing!

Ms. Tiffany,  The 'Advanced Breast Cancer Community' is also a great website for information and support.  Thinking of you.  Angela.

Tiffany,  I have just realised just how unhelpful my post was!  The website I was referring to is www.inspire.com Embarassed

Thanks Angela, I actually am a member of that site but I do find myself posting more on bcmets.org
