Six years ago I had breast cancer.  I participated in a support group approximately four years.  Without this group my life would have been misery. Just meeting with others who understood the hardship - sharing new drugs - new options for recovery was FANTASTIC.  When Support Group was first suggested I thought it was  WASTE OF TIME. NOT SO. We had a wonderful group of OPTIMISTIC people - some are still with us some have gone to a peaceful area but at least when we were together we had fun until the last moment.

Steffee--Thanks for the note. I'm delighted you had such a powerful group support. What strikes me is that you went in thinking it would be a waste of time--and had your mind changed by the experience. Congrats for all of it.
