I have been registered for the Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk since mid-march. Fundraising has been slow but I have also been able to find the motivation to keep moving forward due to the touching and inspiring stories I have read on here as well as other blogs.
This week, things have started moving in the right direction. Between posting on many different blogs and sending random emails to coworkers and people from my church (half of whom I don't even know b/c they go to the early service), I raised over $100 in the past 24 hrs.
The amazing thing is, I don't even know most of those who donated. Not only don't I know them personally, but their names were NOT any of those who I had emailed. Did they stumble across my blog? Did they see one of my posts on someone else's blog? Did someone I sent an e-mail to forward it to someone else?
It seems to be a snowball effect and I for one am HAPPY that it's snowing (I actually prefer snow over 90 deg temps anyway).
On the off chance that one or more of my donations came from one of the amazing people who are part of this particular website, I would like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU for getting the ball rolling!!!
