Want to know what happened before dinner at the Hottest Pink Party Ever? Read part 1 of the night (it includes Gwyneth Paltrow and Evelyn Lauder!).

So, Sarah and I are at our table at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's Hottest Pink Party Ever. Sarah Park, producer extraordinaire for MyBreastCancerNetwork.com, is next to Grace Dos Santos, The Cancer Vixen Fund Co-Chair, Sarah Roffe and Christian Siriano, winner of Project Runway. Christian just told me that he designed and embellished hospital gowns for children. Now, THAT'S fierce.

Check Out Christian from Project Runway -- So Fierce!

Elton John, who was sitting at the table behind me, is talking about his dear friend Linda Stein, who did not die of breast cancer. (She was murdered, and it was a big story here in New York).

Linda was a breast cancer survivor, and Elton dedicated his performance tonight at the Hottest Pink Party Ever to Linda and ALL breast cancer survivors. I am crying. Hard to blog with tears in your eyes.

Elton John's hands as he plays Bennie and the Jets. I love this song.

Elton John is singing "Tiny Dancer" for Linda Stein. He said she was "dancing until the end".

One of the lyrics of this song is "now she's with me, always near me, the tiny dancer in my head." You know this song.

Elton is now singing what he considers to be the theme song of the night. "Don't let the sun go down on me." Before he started singing, he told us that his ENTIRE band is playing here as a benefit for the BCRF. He says they're doing it because "they're good people." Pictured are the butterflies hanging in the ceiling of the Waldorf Ballroom.

The crowd is on it's feet. He's doing "The ***** is Back".

Go ahead. Give me an "advisory sticker" for that one.

More to come tomorrow morning, from the Breast Cancer Research Foundation Spring Gala (AKA The Hottest Pink Party EVER!)
