Breast Cancer, Chemotherapy, Radiation, Breast Cancer Partners

I was diagnosed in November 2008 and had a partial mastectomy on December 5, 2008. It was supposed to be easy, I would have 4 weeks off work. That's not how it is turning out. They found cancer in 9 lymph nodes and now I'm scheduled for a total mastectomy of my right breast. I'm requesting a double mastectomy so I can get these things off me. I'm amazed at how long it takes to get things moving. At this point I'm frustrated and angry that it is taking so long. I'm working every day at keeping a positive attitude, but it's much harder than I ever thought. The good news is I'm a fighter. I can be a bitch if I need to be (of course that's not my first choice!). After I have my double mastectomy I will have chemo and then radiation. I'm looking for my silver lining and see a couple of things: 1- No bra this summer. 2- I'll lose 10-15 pounds overnight (yes, I'm large busted). 3- This gives me a chance to promote mammograms.
