Sorry, I'm not a kid, I'm Peggy Hamel's "other mother". The Thanksgiving after her chemo (or during it) we all gathered as usual at Tommy's house. Rick and Peggy were always the first ones there with their huge contribution. This year they were the last. Suddenly they burst into the room and Peggy whipped off her hat with a "ta ta" and with her bald head and her great big smile she was truly the most beautiful one in the room. So beautiful just remembering it brings tears to my eyes. The greetings were loud and happy. Then we all collapsed with laughter when Rick came in and had his say as to why they were late. I think Nik was the last one in quietly as usual without any fanfare and I saw the pride in his face as he looked at his Mom. Jean and Mac must be so proud of her. We are all so delighted to have her in our family.
