About Me

I am a 45 year old single mother of three children. Amy is 21, Wesle 14, and Kyle 9 are my great kids. I was diagnosed with stage III agressive breast cancer April 2006. I have been treated with chemo, radiation for 8 weeks, now oral medications (tamoxifen). I developed reoccuring blood clots from chemo, and the chemo damaged nerves and bones in my legs. I have horrible pain in my lower legs and feet which make walking a painful experience. I currently have no active cancer cells in my body, but my doctor says I only have a 40% chance of staying cancer free. My cancer was a grade 3 and estrogen positive(I am still premenopausal)and I had 4 of 10 positive lymph nodes. They believe the cancer had invaded my nerves under my arm as well. My initial symptom was right arm pain and numbness. I then discovered the lump in my breast myself.
