i'm scared!!

my name is heather jensen and my nipple hurts and it leaks clear fluid and today it had white stuff coming out of it like when you pop a zit. It's very painful and i also have a lump on the side of my nipple if anyone could give me some pointers i could use them. i have been to the doctor and will not do a mamagram because i am only 26 yrs old but 5 of my aunts have had 1 or both of there breast removed could anyone sugest a doctor in my area i live in battlecreek mich my email is miya_ca @ yahoo.com or you can get ahold of me on my sisters phone her number is 12694205237 if i am not availble you can leave iformation with her thank you so much heather

Hi Heather - Please read our post on nipple discharge - I think you'll find it helpful. Many women your age have clear fluid or whitish discharge from their nipples; it's usually a hormonal issue. You might also have an infection. Did you ask your doctor if it should be treated? Does s/he know about your family history of breast cancer?

With your history, you might want to consider a consultation at a Comprehensive Cancer Center, which are a group of hospitals designaged by the government as top cancer facilities. The closest one to you would be at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor. Hope this helps you out - PJH

I'm so sorry but i'm not finding the post you are talking about could you point me in the right direction please and i'm sorry i feel alittle silly for asking but i dont have much experience on these things lol.

I had breast cancer, I would insist that the doctor give you a mamaogram.

There could be other things, like a infection in the milk duck etc.

I will tell you that my left breast was itchie and the nipple was sore. I had a lump but I went into the tub and a milky liquid came out. I was 49 so the liquid out of the breast is unusual. At your age it could be perfectly normal. I just strongly suggest you have this looked into and remember this is your health, if anyone gets hurt it is you not the doctor that will not do a simple mamaogram test.

I had breast cancer that started in the ducts, and the disease has no age limit. Your family history makes it a necessity for you to get a mamogram, and that is not always accurate. If you don't take care of your body who will? don't wait until it is too late.
