chemotherapy

i am on my 11th treatment with herceptin and taxol. i am having a lot of leg pain, especially in the evenings. has anyone had a similar experience? i am moving on to 12 rounds of 5FU, Epirubicin and Cytoxin. if you have had this treatment how did it effect you? i know everyone is different, i am interested in sharing this process as i go along and gaining insight from those who have been there.

I did 6 rounds of FEC (what you're doing) - perhaps the side effects will be similar. But at any rate, check out the FEC FAQs I posted: http://www.healthcentral.com/breast-cancer/c/78/10888/chemo-faqs-fec/

Well, best of luck tomorrow, Mimi. One foot in front of the other - every day brings you that much closer to being through it... Anyway, I think you might find my post helpful, so try this. In the center of the home page here, there's a heading called Manage. Under that, click on Chemotherapy Guide. When you get there, click on Chemotherapy Regimens. FEC is the last one in the list. Click on that. Don't be scared by the long list of side effects - they're all POSSIBILITIES, not certainties. Truthfully, FEC chemo wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... you can do it! - PJH
