well, i have finished the 12 rounds of herceptin and paxlitaxol and am glad to say the only reaction i had was loosing most of my hair. the rest i shaved. i have decided not to wear a wig. too hot...my feminity is not defined or embellished by my breasts or my hair. i carry my head high and am proud to be in this fight and surviving. after the 12th round of chemo my ultrasound came back and none of the 6 nodes that showed up positive in the beginning are there. the tech. and the radioligist were very surprised. they have shrunk or been killed by the meds. so i am on to the next phase, the FEC. i have had two out of four so far and slight queasyness and lethargy are the worst symptoms. i'm a busy girl, so napping and being still is really hard for me. i know it could be much worse so i don't complain.it won't last forever. i finish the last of this round Sept 21. then we will reaccess the final part of treatment. mimi
