You sound like a husband who really wants to support your wife through this ordeal in every way you can. There are some husbands who either really don't have a clue or stick their head in the sand and can't accept the situation. Mine was in that category. In fact, when I started loosing my hair, he was very upset that it was coming out on the bed pillow, sink, etc.!

May you continue to be a good support for her.

Doug, your love and support of Keri certainly was evident when you shaved your head to be in solidarity with her.  Such love speaks volumes!

I am a very recent breast cancer survivor who is enjoying the best scenario.  Though my cancer was contained, I had a mastectomy on March 13 which also showed that my lymph nodes were clear.  Therefore, I need no treatment or cancer meds.  I hope that is not difficult for you to take.  I just wanted to let you know that I feel deeply for you and will pray for you as you live strongly after having Keri with you as your wife such a brief time.  She must have been a special woman whom God knew would have even greater influence with you and others in heaven.  God chooses us when we are at our best!  She arrived in a shorter amount of time than the rest of us.  Thanks you for your continued work on her behalf.  Sincerely,  Sr. Joanne Mary, SND (Toledo OH)
