I'm Doug Haberstroh, and this is the story of my wife Keri. Keri was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 at the age of 25. Well, now you're in for a real treat in this post. Keri starts off with a reaction to how the chemo treatments for metastatic breast cancer have been progressing and ...

Hey Keri we both have the same problem.  My cancer spread to my back I got to the point where I could no longer get out of bed and when I did it was to go to the restroom and I would have to crawl there.  I ended up in the hospital and after 2 weeks let go.  When I got home I could not even shower without my mom helping me.  I take morphine for the pain and there is not much side effects besides problems going #2.  In which case I take different laxatives and then im fine.  My pain has gotten better from radiation and chemo treatments as well as taking the pain killers.  I dont know when my pain will ever go away, but I hope to get to a apoint where I can live with it.  I hope yours gets better as well.  I know how much pain takes away from living your life.  Its really hard but you have to stay strong and things will get better.  Me and you both started suffering at such a young age and it does feel to me like we have been robbed of our youth, but I also believe that everything happens for a reason and all of this has a huge purpose.  Stay strong and possitive im here with you.

    Natalia,

Thank you for commenting to Keri about this last SharePost.  I know the feeling of what you are going through at this time and I am sorry you have to endure such pain.  It sounds like you're keeping a positive attitude, as did Keri throughout, and my thoughts and prayers are with you during your fight.  I know Keri would have loved to hear from you and share her stories and she is sharing her stories in a way through her letters on this site, but please know that Keri has since passed.  Please feel free to read her past SharePosts and keep updated with the ones that will be posted throughout the following weeks and months.  I am her husband and it was Keri's wish to share her story with all to help through what she endured.

Thank you again for your words and don't ever give up hope.  Keri never lost her's, but we all know now that she is out of pain and happy.

    Doug
