Just Diagnosed with Cancer? Chat with Experts

alternative reason

By Trixipixi Thursday, September 17, 2009

I found a dimple on my left breast about 6 months ago, and paid no mind to it.  I just re-noticed it and now the bottom of my breast seems to be pulling in when I put my arms above my head.  It almost looks like someone is holding and pinching slightly it between the two spots.  My nipple turns in slightly also.  There is no lumps that I can feel.  I dont have alot of pain with it. I have an appointment Oct 13  Until then I have been searching and searching on an alternative reason on WHY my breast would be doing this.  I am a 35 y/o mom of 5 with no breast cancer in my family.  I am going out of my mind with worry.  Please someone tell me another reason for this.  Thanks.

Hi - This could be due to fibrocystic change. But PLEASE don't make yourself crazy worrying. If action is what you need to set your mind at ease, get on the cancellation list for your appointment; then beg, plead insanity, do whatever you have to do to try to move that appointment up. If you're this stressed, you need to see someone sooner than a month from now, OK? Good luck - PJH
