The treatment that My husband received at the hands of some of the cancer doctors we dealt with, would edge on being a crime, He was treated as he was a piece of garbage left in the gutter. We were nothing but kind and politle and what we got was this. By one nurse, I was keeping my husband alive for selfish monry gain. HE NEVER RECEVIED NOT ONE CENT. BECAUSE HE DIED IN 100 DAYS. I didn't found out until lated that we should have been assigned a medical social worker, and that Hospice could of helped us throgh this terrible disese. But here in Ohio only the doctor,can sign into order that they help us. AND HE DIDN't. Forgive my anger, we were together for 25 years, he died on April 26, 2004. My life has changed forever at the hands of cruelity, of people who were suppose to help you. BUT DIDN't. What would have a little kindness cost them, nothing. But my family will remember their cruelity for the rest of life. Because to them he was 3/4 of million dollars. But to us he was, a friend, husband, father, a POPPA, a coach for special needs children a Ruritan, a good neighbor, a hard worker. A person, who made a difference in everyone life that he met. A truly vaulable person, because his worth was not by dollars and cents, but by the deeds that he did. A person who helped no matter if you had a few cents in your pocket, or you could possibility buy the world. But you never left our house, without some kind of help. And this from a family who. never made than $25,000 a year. But we were happy, he left behind 10 children, 5 of our own, and 5 more we took on, with no help. They knew they were loved. Four grandsons, who miss him everyday. And the countless numbers of people lives he touched, just spread like ripples on lake. Everytime, I see or hear, about how great the doctors from this hospital were to them. I can tell countless stories about the anger, the heart ache of the ones left behind, who could have just needed a little kindness. Because you see for us its not like on TV, where you know the whole truth, and to get the help you are entitled to as just being a human being and a child of God. We even tried web sites, and never got a reponse back.
