    Ms Vagnozzi,

After reading Ms Hamel's questions for the Presidential Cancer Forum I was happy to see our concerns and views match, the same holds true for your questions as well.  Two questions I agree with that you pose deal with a stronger backing of Federal Cancer Research funding and a bigger look into what "Environmental Causes of Cancer" really means.  My wife, Keri, was told that our cancer came from Environmental Causes and that's about all the explaination we received.  We always wondered what that meant and it seemed like no one ever had an answer, other than the generic, it's Environmental.  Great, thanks for that, but what does 'Environmental' really mean?  And again, we got no answer.

Like I told Ms Hamel, can't wait to see their responses, thank you for your questions.

These are well thought out, good health questions that deserve the attention of those who can make a difference. We do not want lip service we want real action. We want to feel like those in control of our country really care about what is going on on our soil, not another countries, when it comes to our health. Thank you for your post. I hope we can count on those who answer. mimi cottington

Jaannette, I can just see and hear you standing up and asking these questions! Clearly you've done your homework - I love the statistics, the level of detail. Esp. the chance you have of being affected by cancer vs. terrorism. And, as always, I appreciate the younger-woman perspective you bring to breast cancer; too many people think of it as a grandmother's disease, or at least one for middle-aged women; and so many women, unfortunately, are under 40 when they're diagnosed. Anyway, you did a great job touching on a wide range of important topics. Bravo! Let's hope we hear some answers! -PJH
