Last year I walked in the Atlanta 3 Day Breast Cacer Walk. The walk ended on Sunday afternoon late and I stayed in Atlanta for an appointment on Monday for my first biopsy. There were several more biopsies, MRIs, and ultrasounds to follow. By the end of October, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. In November I underwent two surgeries and in December began a regiment of chemo treatments. I completed my seventh chemo treatment this past Friday (March 7th) and my final treatment will be on March 21st, Good Friday. This has been the most difficult battle of my life but has also been a time of reflection, a "gut check", and a time of evaluation. My prognosis is good.
