About Me

I am a 35 year old, married mother of a very active 3 year old. I had my lumpectomy & sentinel node biopsy in June, which came back positive so they removed all my nodes. My surgery did not come back with clean margins & due to the fact that the process out here in Hawaii is so slow, I just felt the need to start chemo right away. I didn't want to take the chance of having the cancer still in me, I wanted something in my body fighting it! So, I began chemo treatment in September & got really sick with Hepatitis B in December so took a break from chemo. Managed to complete radiation while I took a chemo break & later resumed my chemo treatments in February. I am now waiting to go through a macsetomy & breast reconstruction using my latissimus muscle. I can't wait until all this is over. I just want to hear the words "remission!"
