Following my wife's death from breast cancer, I have set up a website that is particularly aimed at husbands who have wives with this disease. There seems to be very little support, hints and tips for husbands in this situation.
The following two comments have come to me this week from men who have visited the site -
"Your website is a beacon to sad, scared characters like me. Please keep it going." - reader in Australia
"Thank you my friend for sharing this resource. I've found great comfort in talking to other men who have been through this but as of yet I've not found anything online about it. This is a first and very treasured resource." - reader in USA
We are keen that this site be more widely known.

. I have a book I would like to recommend to you. It's titled "When Someone You Love Has Cancer", by NY Times bestselling author Cecil Murphey.
"Comfort and encouragement for caregivers and loved ones" states the cover of this beautiful gift book. Cecil Murphey knows what it means to walk the journey of cancer with someone he loves. As a pastor, he counseled and comforted many. But when his wife was told she had cancer, being a caregiver and encourager took on a new and personal meaning.
If someone you love has cancer, or if you know of a caregiver who needs a bit of comfort, let these simple words from someone who's been there ease your heart and give you spirit-lifting thoughts for celebrating the gift of life in the midst of troubles."
