I wanted to journal tonight about how this has not gone so smoothly for me.  First, the anesthesiologist couldn't find a vein in my arm so they had to put the IV in my neck!  When he couldn't find a vein on the one side he went to the other.  I mean, how hard can it be to find a vein on my neck?  He left a huge bruise. Next, the breast surgeon was surprised to find cancer in my lymph nodes.  I had skin grafts taken from my armpits 25 years ago and apparently it affected how my nodes look.  So, when the pathologist came in and said I had cancer, she was surprised.  And last but not least, the oncologist told me I needed radiation in addition to chemo.  I had been told that I would not have to have radiation.  I was very upset.  VERY UPSET!  He came back and apologized and said he spoke to the breat surgeon and I would not need radiation.  He did apologize.  Anyway, he wants to do six rounds every three weeks of TAC.  You chemo girls will know what that means.  They also want me to participate in a clinical trial in which I will be administered TC or TAC, but I won't know which.  Apparently, the "A" is a pretty strong drug and causes hair to fall out in clumps...also known as the "Red Devil."  I'll have to look up what all these letters mean.  Last night, I had a fever which has continued today and I still have one drain in.  I really feel washed out and tired.  So ladies, that's been my life so far.  I'm not very upbeat tonight, so I hope you forgive me.  Talk to you again soon
