The Associated Press is reporting that actress Christina Applegate, 36, will begin treatment for breast cancer.

Her publicist, Ame Van Iden, said in a statement Saturday that Applegate's cancer was detected through an MRI ordered by a doctor and is not life-threatening. She expects her to recover fully, according to the article.
