My friend is stage 4 breast cancer, she has a 6cm tumor in her liver. She was tamoxofin, it did not work, now she is on aromasin, we have not found out if this is working. She was on a steriod for the pain, it worked, but she began to puff up like a blow fish, so she weaned herself off that drug and is planning to start xeloda next week. Can anyone tell me if they think the xeloda will help? She has no faith in doctors and she has kept most of her friends at arms length. She seems to think she is not jaundice, but everyone who sees her is surprised at how yellow her face is, what does this mean?
I wish I could talk openly to her about these things, but she does not want to go there, so I will respect her wishes.
Any advice would be helpful.
