Well, it took me a little while, but I finally figured it out. They upped the dosage on the anti-mouth sore drug this round. That's what was causing the nausea! I stopped taking the med and within a day felt like my old self (almost) again. No more nausea. The side effects of the side effect drug was harder on my stomach than the actual chemo. Sheesh.
Just because I find irony everywhere.... I surfed the net this weekend for a mastectomy swimsuit. My favorites at reasonable prices? HANES and LANDS END.
Yep, the men's underwear and hiking boot companies have prosthesis compatible mastectomy swimsuits more suited to my preferences than most of the true BC Swimwear designers.
Also on the plus side, KC temps should edge close to 40 today and maybe, just maybe, 50 tomorrow. WOOO HOO. I am seriously ready for a little sunshine and above freezing temps. The snow didn't bother me too much, it never does. But the ice storm was a pickle.
Family is doing okay. Kiddo is growing up too fast, cat is happy now that it's not freezing rain and hubby rubbed my bald head yesterday.
I was adopted by a chemo angel. I expected notes of encouragement. One of my angels also sent a cookie recipe and Saturday she sent a gift box filled with things like peppermints and a book for my son and ornaments! What a wonderful surprise.
Honestly, I'm doing fine and hope you all are as well.
