A New Beginning

by  Poteet
Monday, February 11, 2008

Well, PJ - as usual you are very insightful and timely.  On Friday I had my end-of-treatment visit with the onc.  I got the all-clear, feel free to travel and work and play.  And grow hair~

That said, I go back in thirty days for blood check, then again ...

  1. Incredibly well said, Poteet-

You've made all kinds of good points. Congratulations - YOU MADE IT. The journey WILL continue, as you well know, with years of doctor's appointments, probably some drugs, suspenseful mammograms and, as you said, the continual "is it cancer?" refrain singing in your head. But the anxiety fades.... time heals, it really does. Life goes on, and we go with it. I hope you stay connected with this site - as you said, those of us who have been through it can provide an incredible amount of virtual support to those just starting down the path. I hope, Poteet, that you find you life enriched by this experience, as I have - and now - go grow some hair! Hope it comes back beautifully "wash & wear" like mine did... - PJH
