About Me

I had breast cancer in April 2004.  I found the lump during a self exam.  I had a mastectomy in May 2004, followed by chemotherapy.  I was bald for 6 months, but the good thing was I didn't have to shave my legs either!  I have since had 2 friends diagnosed with breast cancer and my wigs are on their third cancer patient.  My last friend diagnosed was 31 with 2 types of cancer.  She had a double mastectomy and just started her chemo yesterday.

I have had a lot of side effects with the post-chemo drugs.  I cannot take Arimedex or Femara.  The joint pain and fatigue from them are terrible for me.  I do know people who have taken both with no side effects.  I would love to hear from other women taking Tamoxafin though to hear what your experiences have been with that drug.
