Hi! I had invasive lobular BC in Aug 08. I had chemotherapy, then a left mastectomy with 6 nodes taken. They were negative and cancer was low nuc.grade. I tried Tamoxifen, then Femara, and I went into a major depression on both. I have had shots of lupron and do OK with that. I want to do all I can, but really reluctant to try anymore hormone blockers. Any info/suggestions. Thanks so much. Lake59 - trying to move from having BC

I was wondering how the Lupron is treating you? I will be getting it in hopes of preserving some ovary function since I am pre-menopausal. Are you also? I am 34. I will start chemo in mid-Feb. So I was just wondering how that is going for you.
I am just a newbie. Just had two surgeries, 1 lumpectomy, and 1 margin clean-up just two weeks ago. Now I am waiting for the boob to heal to start chemo, after that rads, then the tamoxifen for 5 years I guess....
Anyway, it is so much to take in. Did you have depression before this stupid cancer happened too? I read the tamoxifen can make depression worse. I have some concerns about that.
I hope you are better now. Did you get reconstruction? Thanks for sharing anything you feel comfortable with.
