Just Diagnosed with Cancer? Chat with Experts

2nd Biopsy: Cancer or No Cancer?

By Peglove Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Dylan helped me get undressed and dressed. He has to do everything, because I am just sitting here. At least my fingers don't hurt, so I can type. But my arm hurts a lot. They gave me local anesthesia, but nothing to take home for the pain. Luckily, I had stashed away two Vicadins from my root canal and I took them both last night.

When w got home, we watched Frost/Nixon. Now, was it just the Vicadin, or was that movie boring as hell?

Just at home until 3 or 4 pm today. They will call me and let us know if the biopsy is malignant. If it is, then the booby goes. If it isn't…well, we may still let the booby go. That is something that will take a while for us to decided, so I will let you know as soon as we get through the trauma of yesterday and today.

Thank you for all the visits, cookies, flowers and cards! Keep coming over, we really need the company!

 Love, Peg.

That sounds sucky! Im sorry you had to go through all that. The bewbs are sensitive sisters. I only had a needle core biopsy with ultrasound because my tits are too young and dense to have a mammogram. On account of my youthful age... (pfft) Kinda a good thing they didn't stick me in the mammo thing or my blood filled tumor would have burst and I would have hemorrhaged... according to my doctors. Super awesome!

So, give me a call today if you feel up to it. I know you're dealing with a lot. So if you don't feel like chatting don't worry about it, but I DO want to see how you're doing emotionally, physically or if you just need to complain about life the universe and everything. I'm here for youuuuu!

On a related but unrelated note... My oncologist is giving me water pills because I have bloated to crazy proportions from the weekly steroid given with my chemo. I look like pale lumpy worm. It's freaking awful. I really really really hope you don't get chemo... In fact, I'm going to talk to my sources (collective unconscious) that you don't have to. Ima put out good vibes for you that the second mass is "nothing" and that you'll be chemo free.

Hugs and love,

-Trace

P.S. I have a stockpile of vicodin, darvocet and some other pain killer. I think my threshold for pain must be reeeallly high because I don't ever need the pain pills. Let me know if you need any before surgery okaaay?
