So I have been taking little bird baths and using baby wipes since my 2nd biopsy. I am glad that the biopsy was clear for cancer..but now I have this huge gash in my breast and it does not look like it is closing.

That is why the cauterize it from the inside, so it won't do that. I am very surprised I dont have even one stich to help it stay together and close up...
But I guess this is just a scaffolding of pain and I am on the next rung, before my lumpectomy. How is your mom now? Hope all is well with you and yours.

Hi! They just called, so no cancer in the 2nd biposy!...
Great to hear that the second biopsy was benign. My mom had the same operation and she too had an open gash/wound. She said it was painful to move but more than that she was surprised that she was walking around with an open wound but wasn't bleeding. The pain eventually faded. Give it time. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
