Just Diagnosed with Cancer? Chat with Experts

Met with oncologist today...

By Peglove Saturday, December 19, 2009

And the verdict is in.

Start my chemo in mid-Feb, after my recovery from my margin clean-up on Jan 7th. My dog almost died the week of my surgery so I pushed it back. Just as well, it gave me time to think things through, time with my family, and Christmas, and New Years' Eve parties to go to!

I will have 4 rounds of T.C. Then Radiation. So no TAC for me...woohoo.

Pretty tired. So I'm turning in and will think this through tomorrow. Pretty happy about my verdict though.

Hugs and Love and...HOPE for a good new year 2010.

Glad you're avoiding the "A" in that cocktail, Peg. I'm sure you'll be reading up on it all before you start - we'll be here, too. Hey, pretty soon you're going to be able to put an end date on treatment (aside from the drugs) - you're getting to the end of this rocky path! Keep your eyes on the horizon... soon you'll be looking back at all this as just a memory. Hope you have a relaxed, serene holiday- PJH

Hi Peglove,

So happy to hear that your treatment is moving right alone. Before you know it you will  be at the end of the whole thing. I just finished all of my surgeries this pass Nov. Had a double mastectomy, and many surgeries for correction. No chemo, or radiation or medi's, but beleive me the surgeries are not easy to deal with lots of Pain. But you know what meditation helped me to get on this side of the treatment. So I hope it will help you also.

Have a Happy Holiday Season, and a very Happy and Healthy New Year!!!!!Kiss
