I always look forward to Breast Cancer Awareness Month with anticipation. I actually enjoy seeing all the pink merchandise for sale. I appreciate the day of seminars at our cancer center, the supportive editorial in the local paper, and the opportunity to make pink-frosted cupcakes and bring them to ...

You know, I'm no pink poster child but it give me warmth to see all the pink out there.  Just knowing that even a little bit goes to research or providing a mammogram to someone who otherwise wouldn't be able to get one is warming to my soul.  It gives me hope that someday others will not have to go through what I went through...don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to cancer.  It changed me and made me a better person in more ways than one but on the flip side, I also lost two friends to the beast over the past year.  So I say pink, pink, pink, bring it on and the more the better as every little bit counts!  Every penny brings us closer to making things better for the future.  So maybe I am a pink poster child after all?

Whatever it takes to raise the money to find the cure to stop the dying... You sound like you have a GREAT attitude. Stay with it - it really helps, doesn't it? Cheers! - PJH
